About Artonomous: Established in 2002, Artonomous has been the umbrella under which I create and work. Creativity through graphic design, Illustration, print advertising, logos, promotions, brochures, corporate identities, posters and art exhibtions are at the heart of Artonomous. Whatever the project, or medium, whomever the client may be, I consistently invigorate visual messages that influence audiences with their simplicty, beauty and autonomy. The Artonomous philosophy of simple, strong and communicative work with solutions that extend beyond the predictable has proven to be equally effective with large corporate clients such as Samsung and McDonald's and small, home-grown businesses like Sined Snowboards.

Design Philosophy: Work that blurs the line between fine art and design interests me most. The computer is a beautiful tool but it is not the only tool for artistry. Creativity in all its polyvalent forms leads to intelligent, efficient problem solving for clients. There are no hard and fast rules for getting to the best answer or overcoming communication challenges in the design world. As a designer and fine artist , I am always open to new options and message avenues not yet explored; this allows for progress, growth and results in exceeding clients needs.

Painting: Primarily interested in the figure, my influences range from Giacometti and Basquiat to skateboard graphics and a shabby city block. I try to find the beautiful in the banal. The modern man made world is in a constant state of deterioration. I like to bring this temporal element into my compositions. Painting, scraping, drawing, repainting and experimentation leave me with a multi-layered, often intense visual explanation of my take on the human condition.

Everything in the urban landscape inspires me. If I had one wish I think it would be for one eye to be a camera. I just can't keep up with all the visual stimulants around me. My work comes from a process of thoughtful observation and living. I take in the world that surrounds me, digest it and try to visually express what it is that inspires me and makes life on this big spinning rock worth while.
